Conductor 2500 Harper Car, Running on downtown run at 9 minutes after 7 P.M. struck man who protested because conductor gave signal to start up car before woman could board carrying baby. When man protested conductor #2500 struck man. Car #1680.

Feb. 8, 1927
Left Detroit this day on trip cross country.

Feb 19, 1927    
Landed in Carter Oil Comfort Camp at Seminole, Okla.

Feb.21, 1927     
Started to work for Carter Oil Company as a roustabout at $4.00 a day.

Feb. 28,1927     

I quit working for the Carter Oil Co. because could not get a clean bed. I left the same day for points west then boarded a train. It traveled all night across country as flat as a board. That is a true description for going across the plains.

Mar. 1, 1927     

I got off the train when it arrived in Clovis, New Mexico.

Mar. 2, 1927     

Stayed over night in the open in the middle of nowhere at Morrow Ranch.

Stayed all right in Las Vegas

I arrived in Santa Fe and stayed at the Capital Hotel.
