29 Assaying the Ore in Butte

These are copies of the assay information

As you can see this was done in Butte

August 2-, 1929
Left Horse Creek at 9AM. Went to Sheridon to mail and ore and etc. home. Took train to White Hall. Walked from White Hall to Jefferson Glade, Mont.

August 3, 1929
Slept all night under stars. Was picked by two young fellows I had met before. We hooked up plan to go to Kansas City Mo together. Camping tonight in Yellowstone Park.

August 4, 1929
Camped all night of 8-3-29 at Mammoth Camp Park. Went around park drive.  Took in all the sights. It was so cold. I felt just about frozen. I walked down the camp trail to the river at the foot of the lower falls. We will be camping tonight at Fishing Bridge Camp. Had to rent a cottage because of the rain. I am the chief cook of the outfit and we don’t starve by a long way.

This is the last entry in the log book. Jim did get back to Detroit.
